Having decided to stay in the E1 class for the remaining rounds to see if they could win the class overall in the championship, but that would be a tall order as Adrian wouldn't have done enough rounds and would depend on the misfortune of others. With Mark back on the notes they battled on throught the day suffering with an overheating engine, driveshaft issues and the weather which started dry, then rained and then was sunny in the afternoon, putting in a strong performance over the 8 stages to win the E1 class on the rally and finishing 30th O/A. but not the championship as Greg Williams took that due to having finished more rounds.
